Guadeloupe (France) Full Year 2018: Volkswagen (+35.5%) stuns in market up 5.6%

Volkswagen sales shoot up 35.5% year-on-year in Guadeloupe.

New passenger car sales in Guadeloupe, a French overseas archipelago located in the Caribbean Sea home to 398,000 inhabitants step up 5.6% year-on-year in 2018 to 17.620. Peugeot (+3%) remains comfortably in the lead with 16.6% share while Renault (-1.8%) skids down to 13.2%. Dacia (+3.3%) can’t match the market growth and as a result sees its market share tilt below the symbolic 10% mark at 9.7%. Below Citroen (+13.3%), Volkswagen (+35.5%) posts the largest gain in the Top 12 and overtakes Hyundai (+14.1%) for 5th place overall. Ford (+53.3%), Jeep (+35.8%), Skoda (+24.6%), Mercedes (+30.6%), Mazda (+27.9%) and Fiat (+27.4%) all shine in the remainder of the Top 20.
