The Dacia Logan is the best-seller in Moldova again in 2018, but this could be its last year on top.
Based on data shared with us by our Central European partner , new car sales in Moldova gain a robust 13.3% year-on-year to 6.322 registrations in 2018. The Dacia Logan (-19.1%) remains in the Moldovan pole position for at least the 8th year in a row, but it only topped the monthly charts 6 times and its reign is under intense pressure by the Dacia Duster shooting up 58.3% thanks to the new generation to 5.6% share, ending the year only 63 sales below the Logan. The Hyundai Tucson (-8.6%) is knocked down to #3 while the Toyota RAV4 (+27.2%) overtakes the Skoda Octavia (+22.2%) to #4, both nameplates registering sizeable gains. The Kia Sportage (#6) and Dacia Logan MCV (#9) make their entrance in the annual Top 10, knocking the Skoda Rapid and Ford Focus out.
