New car wholesales in Indonesia continue on their recovery with a 4% year-on-year improvement to 91.846 deliveries, lifting the year-to-date tally up 2.5% to 875.296 units. It’s a third consecutive month in pole position for the all-new Toyota Calya but just as in September when it only won by 20 units, the Calya only has a tiny 80 unit-edge in October over the Toyota Avanza, the Indonesian market leader of the past decade now down 39% year-on-year. Thanks to this performance the Calya is now #9 year-to-date with 30.362 sales. Its twin the Daihatsu Sigra remains at a brilliant third place with 6.9% share, distancing the Honda Brio Satya (+38%), Toyota Kijang Innova (+129%) and Daihatsu Xenia (+100%). The rest of the Top 10 is in decline.
