The new Civic pushes Honda up 38% in Pakistan this month.

Sales of locally-assembled cars in Pakistan are down 13% year-on-year in September to 16.060 units, meaning the year-to-date slide vs. the same period in 2015 is now -9% to 152,493. Market leader Suzuki falls faster than the market at -25% but still holds a mammoth 53.2% market share, ahead of Toyota at 29.6% (-5%) and Honda up 38% to 17.2% thanks to the arrival of the new generation Civic up 181% to an estimated 1.520 sales in 5th position. The Toyota Corolla remain the best-selling nameplate in Pakistan with 27.4% share (-6%), distancing the Suzuki Mehran (-10%), Bolan (-48%) and Ravi (-43%). The Suzuki Wagon R (+69%), Swift (+17%) and Toyota Hilux (+23%) all post positive results.
