The Opel Astra stops 18 units short off a Polish pole position in June.

Once again the Polish market displays extravagant growth with sales up 28% to 44.126 units, leading to a half year tally up 19% to 240.471. Skoda holds onto the brands pole position with sales up 26% to 5.146 ahead of Volkswagen at 4.055 (+34%) and Toyota at 3.683 (+48%). Ford (+25%) overtakes Opel (+20%) for 4th place while Dacia (+52%), Kia (+36%), Mercedes (+63%) and Mazda (+54%) frankly outpace the market further down the Top 15. The Skoda Octavia (+30%) remains the most popular nameplate in the country in June but its advantage over the Opel Astra (+44%) thaws to just 18 units at 1.555 vs. 1.537. The Skoda Fabia rounds up the podium but only gains 11%, resulting it a market share drop to 3.2%. The Toyota Yaris (+66%), Auris (+126%), Dacia Duster (+48%), Renault Master (+59%), Skoda Superb (+211%) and Dacia Sandero (#21) make themselves noticed while the VW Tiguan leaps to #22 and #50 year-to-date thanks to the new model.
