New car sales in Slovenia are up 2% year-on-year in March to 6.106 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total to 16.691 units, up 7% on the same period in 2015. Volkswagen remains the most popular brand in the country thanks to 948 sales and 15.9% share above Renault back up one spot to #2 despite tumbling down 33%, Skoda down 1% and Nissan up 3%. Peugeot (+16%), Dacia (+13%), Hyundai (+92%), BMW (+73%), Seat (+42%) and Suzuki (+52%) all beat the market by a large margin this month. The VW Golf edges into pole position with 288 sales, eight more than the Renault Clio in 2nd place and 16 more than the Nissan Qashqai at #3. The Nissan Juke is up 36 spots on February to #4 while the Skoda Octavia is down 4 to #5. Other great performers include the Dacia Duster up 7 to #8 and the Dacia Sandero up 34 to #11.
