Canadian new light vehicle sales are serenely headed towards a third consecutive all-time annual record with November up another 5% year-on-year to 145.426 units, bringing the year-to-date total to 1.769.611 deliveries, up 3% on 2014. General Motors is the most popular group for the 2nd month running thanks to sales up 13% to 21.812 and 15% share, however FCA-Fiat Chrysler Automobiles remains in the year-to-date lead by far and celebrates 72 consecutive months (six full years!) of year-on-year gains at +0.6% and 21.038 sales. Ford Motor Co. rounds up the podium while Toyota Motor keeps Hyundai-Kia and Honda Motor at bay.
Brand-wise, Ford is head and shoulders above all manufacturers as usual with 13.8% share vs. 9.3% for Toyota and 9% for Honda. Chevrolet (+17%), Dodge (+16%), BMW (+19%) and Lexus (+29%) perform best inside the Top 20 whereas Ram (-17%) crashes. Further down, Mini (+20%) Land Rover (+36%) and Scion (+126%) shine. As far as the VAGroup is concerned Volkswagen is down 5%, Audi up just 1% and Porsche up 13% so limited emission scandal effects for this month in Canada.

With the ninth generation in runout mode and the tenth now arriving in dealerships, the Honda Civic is up a beautiful 22% in third place with 5.082 sales. The Ford Escape jumps five spots on October to land at #4, knocking the GMC Sierra down to #5. The Jeep Cherokee gains 33% at #13, the Dodge Journey is up 39% to #17, the Ford Explorer more than doubles its sales (+108%) to #22 as does the Hyundai Tucson (+101%) thanks to the new generation.
