New car sales in Hong Kong are down 9% year-on-year in November to 3,992 deliveries, however the year-to-date total is still frankly in positive territory, up 10% on 2013 to 48,290 units. Brand-wise, Toyota remains the most popular at 21.2% share ahead of Mercedes at 12.3% and BMW at 10.4%. Isuzu (8.5%), Honda (61%) and Nissan (5%) follow. The Toyota Hiace is the best-selling vehicle on the territory once again thanks to 213 sales and 5.3%, the Mercedes E-Class is up 7 spots on October to #3, the BMW 3 Series up one to #5 and the Honda Odyssey very solid again at #9 vs. #59 YTD. But it’s below that things get animated, the small size of the HK market helping. The Lexus NX is down 4 ranks on last month to a still outstanding 12th place, the Mercedes GLA is #14, the Porsche Macan is up two to #24, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer lands directly at #33, the BMW i3 ranks #37, the BMW X4 is up one spot to #51 and the Lamborghini Huracan is up 36 to a splendid 63rd spot thanks to 17 units sold.
