Forgettable month for new car sales in Belgium: down 11% year-on-year to 32,023 registrations, meaning the year-to-date total is now down on 2012 at -0.7% to 460,984 units. The Top 3 carmakers are identical to last month and year-to-date: Volkswagen leads the way with 3,275 sales and 10.2%, down a harsh 25% on November 2012, followed by Renault at 3,104 units and 9.7% (-6%) and Peugeot at 2,509 and 7.8% (-13%).
Even though it is down 16% year-on-year, BMW is up one spot on October to land in 4th place with 2,203 sales and 6.9% share vs. #6 year-to-date. Only one Top 10 carmaker sees its sales improve year-on-year: Hyundai at +12% to #10. Notice also Skoda up 3 ranks on last month and 8% year-on-year to #11 and 3.6% vs. #16 and 3.1% year-to-date – potentially the new gen Octavia effect, Dacia up 20% to #12 and 3.6% and Suzuki up 44% to #20 and 1.1%.
