New car sales in Venezuela are down a painful 21% year-on-year in July to 8,686 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 65,966 units, down a harsh 16% on 2012. Passed by the Mitsubishi Lancer last month, the Chevrolet Aveo reclaims its traditional #1 spot in July thanks to a huge 1,450 sales and 16.7% share, its highest in over one year. The Chevrolet Cruze is up 12 spots to brilliantly round up the July podium with 520 sales and 6%.
The Toyota Corolla is also in great shape, up 4 ranks to #4, but the performer of the month is the Chevrolet Orlando, also up 4 spots on June to break its ranking and market share records in Venezuela at #5 with 427 units and 4.9%.
