The Czech best selling models chart is very stable in 2005 and 2006 with the same Top 4. The Skoda Fabia enjoys its 6th and 7th consecutive years at #1 with 36,258 sales in 2005 (28.5% of the market) and 32,914 in 2006 (26.5%), still very imposing scores even though the small Skoda’s share is losing about 2 percentage points each year.
The Skoda Octavia is also still very strong in #2 at 13.7% share in 2005 (17,500 sales) and 11.8% in 2006 (14,608). These two models taking 38-42% of the Czech market, the rest of the chart is very fragmented, with only 4 models at 2%+ share in 2005 and just 2 in 2006. The Renault Thalia (a Clio Sedan) takes the lead among imports at 2.9% in 2005 and 2.2% in 2006, followed by the Hyundai Getz, 4th in both years.
The Peugeot 206 slides down to 5th in 2005 and 6th in 2006 whereas the Dacia Logan delivers an impressive 6th position in 2005 for its first full year of sales in the country. Notice the 10th position of the Skoda Roomster in 2006 at 1,731 sales and 1.4%.
